Dear LCDS students & staff,
It is our pleasure to inform you of special £10 ticket offers for our 'Kiss of the Earth' production at The Cockpit Theatre (Marylebone, London) at 7:30pm, Wed 4th to Sat 7th February 2015 and at Greenwich Theatre (Greenwich, London), at 6pm, Sun 22nd February 2015, which may be of interest to you.
Kiss of the Earth is a unique fusion of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring. With a cast of five Lecoq-trained actors and two classical pianists trained by Royal Academy of Music, the two classic tales collide with stirring classical music and mesmerising physical theatre.
The audience embark on a journey of wordless storytelling expertly animated through commedia half masks. The heart-felt melodies of The Rite of Spring sets Shakespeare’s starcrossed lovers against the pounding, barbaric rhythms of the deadly feud between Montagues and Capulets. Every movement, every dissonance, and every silence heightens the tragic fate of the young lovers.
The production has presented 21 touring performances across the UK in 2014, and was extremely well-received by critics and audiences alike.
We are currently offering special £10 tickets with code KISS10. Please quote the code when booking through Cockpit Theatre and Greenwich Theatre to redeem the offer! Special group tickets of £8 (for groups more than 6) is also available through the venues.
